Why 1000L Pods are the Backbone of SEQ Farming

If you’re running a property in the Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim or across South East Queensland, you know that water and liquid storage can make or break a season. When it comes to gear that’s tough enough for the paddock but won't blow the budget, you can’t go past a 1000L pod.

Most blokes just call them "pods," but whether you’re storing liquid fertilizer, molasses for the breeders, or just need a reliable water cart on the back of the ute, a reconditioned IBC is the smartest way to go. Why pay top dollar for a brand-new poly tank when a high-quality A-Grade pod does the exact same job for a fraction of the cost?

At Drum King, we make sure our pods are pressure-tested and cleaned properly. If you're looking to buy 1000L pods for stock water, we’ll steer you toward the right grade so you aren’t risking cross-contamination. They’re easy to stack, simple to plumb into a trough, and built to handle the Aussie sun.

Need to kit out the property for the next season? Don't pay retail prices for storage.

Quick Specs for the Paddock

When you’re setting up a water or fert station, you need to know the footprint. Our 1000L pods are built to a standard size for easy transport:

  • Dimensions: Roughly 1200mm x 1000mm x 1160mm.
  • Weight: About 60kg empty, so two blokes can move 'em, but you’ll need the forks once they’re full (1,000kg+).
  • Base Options: We supply pods on steel, plastic, or timber pallets depending on what you’re doing. For long-term paddock use, we recommend steel or plastic bases to avoid rot.

Why Reconditioned? Buying reconditioned isn't just about the price — it's about the "circular economy." By choosing a recovered pod, you're keeping high-density plastic out of landfill and reducing the carbon footprint of your property.
